Heads-up for everyone who ordered the DVD version of BF2142. Battlefield 2142 needs to be patched before online play can begin. The EA downloader version already has this patch build in. This new patch is not yet available on EA Downloader, unlike the messagebox says. We expect the patch to be available at the same time as the EA Downloader version of Battlefield 2142 is available for online play.

tja. wij hollanders moeten ergens over kunnen zeuren. maar ik vind het wel raar dat ze een spel uitgeven en al meteen met een patch komen.
Dat er bugs inzitten kan je niks aan doen. die dingen gebeuren nou eenmaal maar dat je een patch moet uitgeven om online te kunnen spelen bij een spel dat bedoeld is om online te spelen is gewoon prutswerk afleveren |

sjonge jonge wat een volwassen reacties weer Klagen dat er een patch wordt uitgebracht :P Wees blij man!! En niet aankomen met die crappe QW:ET-vergelijkingen, das aardappels met peren vergelijken. We zullen wel zien hoe goed en SOEPEL dat spel wel niet draait als tie uit is :P
Wat ik irritanter vind is dat EA zo ff de releasedatum effe een dag heeft opgeschoven...eerst stond er 17/10/06 en sinds vanochtend opeens 18/10/06. Dus ik vermoed dat ze wellicht gelijk de patch er in willen hebben ofzo? |

Laat het duidelijk zijn, dat meteen een patch uitbrengen is opzich goed, beter dan zo lang meoten wachten, maar het idee dat er een patch nodig is, daar gaat het om. Ze hebben weer geen 100 % werkend spel kunnen afleveren. |

Ik heb t nou eigenlijk wel gehad met EA he, de demo deed het ook al niet zonder allerlei dingen eerst te moeten fixen.
En nu patchen ze een spel al voordat het uberhaupt uit is!
Naja zal je natuurlijk zien dat ik het uiteindelijk toch koop, omdat ik anders niks te doen heb tot ETQW uit is. |

Heb net mijn 2 nieuwe videokaarten getest met BF 2142 Demo, Geforce 7600 GT KO 256 Mb.
Zeeeeeerrrrrrrrr strak beeld en loopt gewoon super bij mij, alleen de demo al.
Heb het spel al ge pre-orderd, en heb m zeker op de releasedag binnen.
Het worden weer lange nachten...... :O |

Veel mensen die commentaar hebben op mensen die commentaar hebben
Ik moet zeggen dat ik het toch wel heel merkwaardig vind dat op de dag van uitbrengen al een nieuwe patch is ontstaan ... d.w.z. in feite zeggen dat het spel vroegtijdig gold is gegaan. Ik ben niet zo zeikerig over dit soort dingen, maar bij BF2 was het de Nvidia driver die met BF2 moest worden geleverd en het spel dat enorm buggy was... vervolgens gaan ze de grafische en de netwerkengine helemaal oplappen en verklaart men dat bf2142 super in elkaar zit. Waarom is het spel dan gold gegaan? Omdat EA hun afspraakjes anders niet nakomt? I think so ... Ik als gamer zou liever zien dat men een spel dusdanig ontwikkelt dat er in het beginstadium geen sprake hoeft te zijn voor verbeteringen... DAT is kritiek dat onderbouwd is en mede dankzij BF2 volgens mij geheel gerechtvaardigd is... |

Het kan ook wel kloppen dat patchen, ik kan nu namelijk wel online maar na pak em beet 5 minuten word ik gekickt met de welbekende tekst ea master server verbinding lost.

Vandaag is Battlefield 2142 in de Amerikaanse winkels verschenen, vrijdag komt het spel in Nederland op de markt. Een aantal gamers heeft het spel al in zijn bezit en trof in de doos een opvallende flyer aan, waarop wordt gewaarschuwd dat het spel informatie zoals surfgedrag naar adverteerders stuurt. Dit om daarop de advertenties die je in het spel te zien krijgt, aan te passen.
Deze zogeheten 'monitoring software' draait continu op de achtergrond, dus ook wanneer je het spel niet speelt en is in werking vergelijkbaar met spyware. Ben je niet gediend van deze praktijken, dan kun je beter even de kat uit de boom kijken en wachten hoe dit afloopt, voordat je Battlefield 2142 in huis haalt. Onbekend is overigens of de flyer ook in de Europese doos van het spel aanwezig is en of de Europese versie ook van deze verkapte vorm van spyware voorzien is.

Er zit een wit blaadje bij mij in de doos van bf 2142 hierop staat info over de adverteer technologie die in de game zit en er staat door wie deze gemaakt is. (IGA de Advertentie Technologie), (zo staat het er letterlijk in het blaadje).
Ook staat erbij dat als je deze handel niet dat dat je simpelweg bf 2142 niet kan spelen.
p.s. er staat wel bij dat het een flyertje is van Battlefield 2142 dus niet iets van 3e. |

Ik denk dat 2142 even leuk is, maar op lange duur stapt het grootste deel terug naar BF2.
Hopelijk is het waar wat Walker zegt, en dat er nog expansion pack uitkomen voor BF2.
BF2 is en blijft Nr 1
Heb alle maps offline van 2142 al gespeeld, en het gaat snel vervelen.

Heb nu het spel al 4 uur en 3 kwartier in bezit en ben al 34 keer mn connectie verloren met de EA Master server.
Ik denk dat ik zometeen mn raam heel wijd openzet, en bf2142 er uit laat zweven.

Heb ik ook, heeft elke speler in de servers van ea die ik heb gesproken en ze worden allemaal opeens gedisconnect, iedereen.
Kortom EA is uitgerekend op de release dag aan het kutten met hun servers en laat dat nou net de rede zijn dat ik er zo de tering op in heb dat ik vandaag al op zn minst 90 keer ben gedisconnect van een server waar ik lekker aan het game was.
Dan te bedenken dat ik daar vandaag 42,50 voor neergetelt heb |

Wat ik dus wel triest zou vinden is dat het morgen na 18:00, het spel nog niet werkt :@ Toegegeven dat het ook wel ERG frustrerend is dat je het spel NU al hebt VOOR de officiele releasedag en dat je niet kan spelen...zorg dan dat het spel gewoon voor iedereen voorradig is en ZONDER problemen op de dag zelf he...
